Cub_RGB_green_linearCub Scouts are boys and girls, usually aged between eight and ten and half years old. For the uniform, Cubs wear green sweatshirts with a scarf and woggle. Our group scarf colours are blue and yellow stripes.

A group of Cubs is called a Pack, and each Pack is split up into smaller groups called Sixes. We have four Sixes in each Pack, each Six has a Sixer and Seconder to lead them. We meet on Fridays at the Coombes Primary School in the Infant Hall during school term time.

arb-scouts-37Our ethos is to provide our Cub Scouts with an engaging and balanced programme, incorporating traditional Scouting skills and badge work, fun and games, and confidence and team building exercises. Our activities have included making bird boxes and notice boards as part of the DIY badge, visiting a local fire station as part of the Home Safety badge, writing and performing a mini-play as part of the Entertainer badge, taking part in Wokingham District Cubs quiz, football, swimming and Quidditch competitions, katakanuing at the Wokingham Waterside Centre as well as playing some highly competitive games of chair hockey!

Every Cub Scout makes the following Promise when they join the Pack:

I promise that I will do my best
To do my duty to God and the Queen
To help other people
And to keep the Cub Scout Law

The Cub Scout Law is:

Cub Scouts always do their best
Think of others before themselves
And do a good turn every day
